Today, some of us rely on nutritional dietary supplements to help us tackle different health problem, it can also help prevent our body from falling to deficiencies that might want to start any.

Don’t know what synthetic supplements are? Well, it is a type of supplement that contains different synthetic ingredients. The fact is that most of them are produced artificially in the lab. Just see it this way, the total opposite of this is the naturally sourced ingredients, they are obtained from the food we eat (I mean whole food).

We aren’t saying that Synthetic supplements are bad when looked at from another context, but that still doesn’t change anything, you can never compare what natural to anything synthetic, that itself is self-explanatory. Here are some reasons why you should pussyfoot a little before buying the synthetic supplements.

  • Your body hardly digest these nutrients

When I say nutrients, I mean synthetic nutrients. We all know digesting nutrients isn’t difficult for our body, relatively easy for it to absorb nutrients. But that is not the same with synthetic nutrients. Now to totally understand my point, let’s say you have an orange juice in your body, you have more than hundreds of nutrients absorbed, including vitamins, minerals, enzymes amongst other ones. The fact is your body is able to absorb these nutrients. That not the same with the synthetic ones, they don’t enter your body with the needed compounds that help to absorb, what you have are ingredients that are packed in isolation.

  • They contain additives.

Many of the synthetic supplements that we have here contain additives, see them as a form of processed food. They are supplements that are gotten from whole food, but that doesn’t make them natural supplement as they contain additives that are really bad for your health. I’m talking about trans fats, a not-so-good ingredient that suppresses immunity (magnesium stearate), other additives include titanium dioxide (that is capable of damaging your organs such as kidney and lungs.

  • They don’t necessarily improve your health

Do you know that some synthetic supplements such as Calcium and Vitamin A may not really protect one from health-related issues? We’ve had different researches done on these issues, and all have ended with the same conclusion, that synthetic supplements may not be as healthy as we all think.

  • Synthetic Supplements tend to pop up in unnatural quantities

My final point has to do with the synthetic ingredients that pop up in unhealthy volume. The mistake a lot of people make every day is that the more the nutrients they consume, the better it will be for their health – Scary, right? Not as scary as finding out that supplements contain a high quantity of vitamins and minerals that are way higher than the recommended daily dosage. That’s overdosing on small quantity drugs.
